How to find pickleball courts and tournaments near you in the Philippines

5 min read · Updated 15 October 2026 · by Pickleball Promax, an independent community project

Whether you live in Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao or a smaller city, finding a place to play is getting easier every month. Here is a practical way to find courts and events near you.

Finding a court

  1. Use a directory. Our court finder lists courts across the Philippines with the hourly price where we know it and a link to the venue's own booking page. You can filter by region, indoor or outdoor, and maximum price.
  2. Check the venue's own page. Prices, opening hours and promos change. Always confirm on the venue's page or by message before you travel.
  3. Ask local players. Many clubs share open play schedules in their group chats.
  4. Look at multi-use spaces. Barangay covered courts, school gyms and mall rooftops sometimes mark pickleball lines on certain days.

Comparing prices

Hourly prices differ by city, time of day and whether the court is indoor. Weekend evenings are often the most expensive. Some venues charge per court, others per player. When you compare, look at what is included (balls, lights, paddle rental).

Dates and venues change. If you notice a mistake or know of a court or tournament that is missing, you can add a court or add a tournament. An admin checks every submission against its source before it appears. Pickleball Promax does not take bookings or payments for courts or events.

Questions worth asking a venue

Why surfaces and lighting matter

Pickleball is played on hard surfaces. A smooth, even court with good grip is safer than a worn or slippery one. Outdoor courts can get slick after rain, and poor lighting makes fast shots hard to follow. If you play regularly, these details affect how often you get hurt and how much you enjoy the game, so they are worth a look before you commit to a venue.

Starting or joining open play

If there is no open play near you, find two or three friends and ask a nearby venue about quiet hours. Many courts are happy to host a beginner session if you bring players. Post the schedule in a local group so newcomers know when to come. Clubs grow when someone takes the first step.

Tips for travelling to play

If you are travelling to a tournament in another city, plan transport and rest the day before. Check whether the venue has food and water, bring cash for small expenses, and keep your registration message and the organizer's contact handy in case of a delay.
