Privacy notice
Summary
- We show pickleball tournament facts: a player's name, the tournaments they played, their division and placement. We also show a category that we generate from those results.
- This comes from tournament results and registration lists that organizers already made public, and from people who send it to us.
- We don't publish contact details, addresses, ID numbers, birthdays, photos, or anything about children.
- You can ask us to correct, remove or stop using your information: send a request.
Who runs this website
Pickleball Promax (pickleballpromax.com) is an independent, non-commercial community project run by its site administrator in the Philippines. It isn't a governing body. It isn't affiliated with any pickleball federation, with DUPR, or with the tournament organizers whose results appear here. Contact: [email protected].
What information we process
About players (about 6,421 people and 129 tournaments):
- name as written in tournament results;
- the tournaments they played, the division (for example "Novice Men's Doubles") and any placement;
- a DUPR ID, where it appeared in a tournament's public registration data (we don't copy DUPR ratings);
- for some well-known players, a club or city and a one-line note taken from news coverage;
- the category (Beginner to Pro) that this site calculates from the results above;
- for our own records: where each record came from, when it was added, and whether an admin has checked it.
About people who contact us or submit information: your name and email if you send a privacy request, an optional email if you submit a player or tournament, and what you write to us. These are never published.
Technical: to stop spam, we keep your IP address in memory for up to an hour when you submit a form. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs. See "Analytics and advertising" below for what else we use.
Analytics and advertising
Analytics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and page views. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across other websites; it only gives us aggregate numbers like "how many people visited the tournaments page this week". It never sees or stores the tournament data described above alongside your identity.
Advertising: this site uses Google AdSense, so pages on the site load Google's advertising code and Google-served ads may appear on them. We're a non-commercial project, but hosting costs money, and this helps cover it. Ads only appear once Google has approved the site, so you may not see any yet. The Pickle Rally Rush game does not load this code (see below). Here is how it works:
- when Google's code loads, Google may set or read cookies and similar identifiers in your browser, and collect information such as your IP address and the pages you view, to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud;
- ad cookies and any related data are handled by Google, under Google's own privacy policy, not by us;
- we will never use the tournament results or player records described above to target ads at anyone;
- if you're in the EU, UK or Switzerland, you'll be asked to choose whether to allow personalized ads before any are shown, and can choose non-personalized ads instead;
- anyone can control ad personalization at Google's Ad Settings, or opt out of interest-based advertising generally at aboutads.info (or youronlinechoices.eu in Europe).
The Pickle Rally Rush mini game
Pickle Rally Rush is a free arcade game on this site. It has no accounts and doesn't ask for an email, age or any contact details.
- Saved on your device: your progress, coins, unlocks and settings are kept in your own browser. They are not sent to us.
- If you play with friends or use the leaderboard: the name you type, your score, a room code and your in-game moves are sent to the game's server in Singapore (run by us). Room data lives only in memory while a match is on. Leaderboard names and scores are shown publicly, so please don't use your full real name, and children shouldn't use their real name. To have a leaderboard name removed, send a request.
- Anonymous play counts: the game also sends simple counts to the same server (a random number kept on your device, the game mode, your score, and what you unlocked) so we can see how many people play. It has no name, email or location, and we don't store your IP address. You can switch it off any time in the game's Settings.
- Ads and purchases: the game does not currently show ads or take payments. If that changes, this notice will say so first.
- The game page is counted in the same cookie-free visit statistics as the rest of the site, and it doesn't load Google advertising.
Where it comes from, and how we collected it
- Public tournament results and registration lists on tournament websites (for example pickleball.global, PickleHQ and the Philippine Pickleball League website), organizers' public Facebook pages and posts, and news articles.
- Submissions from players and organizers through our forms. An admin reviews them before anything appears.
How it was collected: most records were typed up by hand from public results posts and images. Some were collected automatically, by scripts that read tournament websites' public pages or data feeds. Some Facebook text was copied from the page with a browser script. We have since reviewed each source. Results collected from a website whose rules don't allow it are held back and not shown, unless that source later gives permission (pickleball.global's results are held this way). PickleHQ formally objected and refused permission instead, so everything collected from picklehq.ph was deleted outright on 1 October 2026, not just held back. Automated collection is switched off for every source until its terms have been checked and it is approved. We don't use scripts to copy from Facebook. We never access private groups, private profiles or messages, and we never get around logins, CAPTCHAs or other technical protections. If a website's contact details or birthdates were included in what it sent us, we discarded them and never stored them.
We did not ask each player for consent before listing tournament results, and we don't claim that public information is automatically free to use. That is why the rules below exist, and why you can object.
Why we use it
To give organizers and players a record of tournament history, so that divisions stay fair. For example, someone who has already won at Beginner or Novice level shouldn't keep entering those divisions ("sandbagging"). We rely on legitimate interests (Section 12(f) of the Data Privacy Act of 2012): keeping amateur pickleball competition fair, using information that organizers published for the same sporting purpose. We limit what we show to what serves that purpose, and we honour objections.
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we never use tournament results or player records to target advertising (see "Analytics and advertising" above).
What is public and what isn't
- Public: player name, tournament results, the generated category, a DUPR ID where known, and the links to the sources.
- Never public: emails and names of people who contact us, anything submitters write to us, admin notes, and contact details of any kind.
- Not shown: results from junior or age-limited divisions (for example "17 and under"). Records of players who had entered such divisions were erased on 24 September 2026. Also not shown: results collected from websites whose rules don't allow that collection, and registration lists for events that haven't happened yet.
- An admin can keep a page out of search engines ("noindex") or show a result as "Name withheld" instead of removing the tournament result entirely.
Accuracy and categories
Before a record appears, an admin checks it against its public source. Each player page shows when it was last checked. Categories are calculated automatically by this site. See exactly how. They are an estimate from results, not an official rating. If something is wrong, tell us and we'll mark it "reported incorrect" while we check.
How long we keep it
- Tournament results: while the site runs, because they are historical sporting records. You can ask us to remove, hide or anonymize yours at any time.
- Privacy requests: the request and our decision are kept as a record. Your email is deleted 365 days after the request is closed.
- Emails given with submissions: deleted after 180 days.
- Backups: kept for up to 14 days, then overwritten.
- If you ask us to remove you, we keep only your name, marked "do not show", so that a later import can't add you back by mistake.
Your rights and how to use them
Under the Data Privacy Act you can:
- be informed about how your information is used (this notice);
- access what we hold about you: ask and we'll send you a copy;
- correct anything inaccurate;
- object to our use of your information, or ask us to remove, block or anonymize it;
- complain to the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph).
Use the request form or email [email protected]. We may ask you to confirm the request is really from you (or from a parent or guardian). We aim to reply within 15 days. Requests are handled by a person, and every decision is recorded.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. The admin area is password-protected and rate-limited, and forms are protected against spam and cross-site attacks. The database lives on a private server volume with daily backups, and every admin change is recorded in an audit log.
